Wet Basement Fixed In Cranston, RI
Challenge
There was a homeowner from Cranston, RI that was concerned about her partially finished basement. He informed us that his walls were porous, meaning there were small holes allowing water to enter, so there was always water coming through, leaving humidity and puddles everywhere. If he didn't do anything about the water seeping through, there could be mold starting to grow or even result in a flood. Both are hazardous and costly to repair damages, so he wanted to see what our company could do.
Solution
We sent over an inspector and he noticed how wet the basement was. There were several puddles of standing water, it felt humid and damp. The inspector proposed a plan to build a WaterGuard interior drainage system to collect wall seepage, then connect it to our TripleSafe sump pump to discharge the water. The homeowner agreed to the waterproofing system, and our production team began jackhammering. They jackhammered the inside perimeter to place the WaterGuard system in, then they made a sump pit to place the TripleSafe sump pump. It comes with a primary pump, secondary pump and a backup electrical pump incase of a power outage. Now, this homeowner has a complete waterproofing system to help keep his basement dry!
