SmartJacks Installed In Tiverton, RI

Challenge

There was a homeowner in Tiverton, RI that saw mold growing onto the wooden support beams in his crawlspace. The homeowner didn't want the floor to collapse because that could lead to major structural damage, and the repairs could become very costly. Over the years, the floor started to sag down a bit due to the weight, mold and piers with improper footings that sunk. He was looking for a way to stabilize the flood above his crawlspace, so he reached out to DryZone Basement Systems. 

Solution

We had one of our inspectors take a look at the sagging floor. He also saw the wooden support beams starting to fail as well, so he knew exactly what had to be installed. To start, he had a production crew completely get rid of the debris present in the crawlspace to limit the mold growth and moisture. After, the crew installed 12 SmartJacks below the floor. These adjustable steel piers provided extra help for the ruined wooden support beams, raising the floor to its correct level. These are the perfect solution because mold won't grow onto these and they provide a long lasting solution for his crawlspace!
