Complete Waterproofing System In South Yarmouth, MA

Challenge

There was a homeowner that recently bought this house in South Yarmouth, MA. He liked the finished basement, but was concerned about the standing water in the corner. Although it's nice to have a completely finished basement, it wouldn't be so worth it if it got flooded, grew mold or stayed very humid. If mold started to grow onto the building material, then structural damage would become a huge possibility. To save this finished basement, this homeowner contacted DryZone Basement Systems to see what kind of a solution could help. 

Solution

An inspector was sent to the basement to come up with a plan, and after full consideration, he had a production crew install a WaterGuard interior drainage system, CleanSpace wall vapor barrier and a TripleSafe sump pump. The best way to ensure moisture wouldn't get through the walls was to line it up with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, this creates a polyethelyne layer to protect this basement. Right below it, they installed the WaterGuard system, which captures any wall seepage, then drain it to the TripleSafe sump pump. Our TripleSafe sump pump discharges all the water collected, so that there is no more standing water! Not only that, our TripleSafe comes with three layers of protection, a primary pump that combats heavy rain, a secondary incase the primary fails and a battery backup system for when there's a power outage.
