Complete Basement Waterproofing In Coventry, RI
Challenge
A restaurant owner in Coventry, RI had a very damp, cold basement below his business. He wants to keep his business running, but is concerned about what lies beneath. There was a musty smell, water seepage creeping in from the walls and small signs of wood rotting. Although it is nice to have a restaurant near the water, it can lead to heavy amounts of water making it's way into any basement or crawlspace. If this owner didn't find a solution, the chances of moisture buildup, mold growing into the wood and structural damage would be high. To make sure his crawlspace can stay healthy, he contacted DryZone Basement Systems.
Solution
Our inspector was sent to the restaurant to examine the situation. He knew exactly what this large crawlspace needed. To begin the process, he had our crew completely remove any debris present. Then, they installed CleanSpace vapor barrier, SmartSump pump system, SmartJacks and SilverGlo insulation. Our CleanSpace vapor is lined all across the floor and walls of the basement. This ensures that no moisture comes in from the dirt or walls. The SmartSump is our sump pump specifically designed for crawlspaces. This will discharge the water our of the space. Our SmartJacks provide an adjustable steel pier to support the sagging floor from falling down. Lastly, SilverGlo insulation was placed on the walls to combat humidity infiltration and moisture buildup. Now, this restaurant owner won't have to worry about his basement affecting his business!
