Solutions to a Wet Basement in East Wareham, MA
Challenge
This basement in East Wareham, MA was seeing water spots on the floors very frequently! After big rains the spots would become puddles and create a musty space that you could smell from upstairs. For years the homeowners just lived with it, learning to not leave valuables there or to put them up high so the water wouldn’t be able to damage them. They had no idea companies like us existed and were excited to see our ad in a local paper, relief was available!
Solution
With a wet basement such as this, we would install a full system to prevent water from puddling on the floor. Our WaterGuard would go along the edge of the room, sitting just below the surface and collecting that seepage. Then that water would flow to the sump pump to be removed from the basement through a discharge pipe. Our TripleSafe system is our best-selling sump pump and includes a backup battery powered pump that would kick on in case of a power outage. Lastly, a SaniDry dehumidifier would be the icing on the cake! That unit would be able to take care of moisture in the air and help reduce the musty smells that basements can have.
