Basement Waterproofing in Cumberland, RI
Challenge
Since moving in a few years ago, ground water seepage was a recurring issue for this customer. Although the previous owners had installed french drains outside many years ago, they had become clogged and were no longer keeping water from entering the basement. The customer wanted a permanent solution with a transferable warranty that he could pass on to new owners in the next few years when he sells the home. After researching many products, he contacted our company and met with our sales inspector to develop a solution to keep the whole basement dry, all the time.
Solution
The solution we discussed with the customer was a full perimeter WaterGuard interior drainage system directing all ground water to a SuperSump sump pump system. The WaterGuard drainage system intercepts water at the perimeter of the basement and the wall flange directs any wall seepage into the system. The SuperSump includes a high-end 1/3 HP cast-iron Zoeller sump pump with a mechanical float switch. It pumps 2220 gallons per hour at a 8-foot discharge head (43gpm) smoothly and quietly.
