Basement Waterproofing in West Boylston, MA

Challenge

This customer in West Boylston, MA contacted us for help with a leaky basement. He also wanted to discuss options for finishing the basement floor with something that was waterproof and affordable.

As a military veteran, we were honored to be able to help make his home more comfortable and healthy for him and his family to live. We are thankful for the service he has done for us and the United States and provided him with a military discount to serve as a small token of gratitude.

Solution

We took a look at the basement and evaluated the space.

First, we want to seal the leak we found in the wall- it was not indicative of a greater issue with the foundation, but none-the-less it is a source of trouble. We use our FlexiSpan Crack Repair System that effectively fixes any cracks without needing to be reapplied. This system is made up of three parts (flexible sealant, porous foam strip, and an impermeable membrane) that direct any leaks into the WaterGuard Drainage System.

Our WaterGuard Drainage is installed beneath the floor and around the perimeter of the basement to effectively collect any water and direct it to the sump pump, which then discharges the water outside of the home.

We installed the TripleSafe SumpPump, which is an incredibly powerful and effective way to discharge water from the basement to the outdoors safely and where we have deduced is far enough from the home and will not cause any other issues. That's the last thing you need- get the water out of the basement only for it to be distributed somewhere that it causes another problem.

So, we install the WaterGuard below the ground and we install the TrenchDrain Surface Drainage above the ground to collect any surface water near doorways and stairs predominantly. It connects with the WaterGuard system and the water goes right to the sump and out of the basement.

We also addressed the flooring with our ThermalDry Flooring Tiles, which are immune to water damage as well as provide a nice support for walking and drainage underneath for any water that may show up! What a great flooring for any basement!

Needless to say, this customer had all of his concerns addressed with our basement waterproofing products!
