Second Round of Basement Waterproofing in Greenfield, MA
Challenge
Our customer here is Greenfield, MA is actually a returning customer. She only wanted the one half of her basement waterproofed back in 2011. At that time the other side of the basement was not showing signs of needing the system extending all the way throughout the perimeter and she didn't want to have the entire basement done at that time. It is a very common decision and nothing wrong with that! She recently reached out to us because the other side of the basement that hadn't yet been waterproofed.
The waterproofed side of the basement is finished and the side that is in need of waterproofing is not yet finished so that's helpful for the homeowoner should she want to finish the basement entirely it will now be fully waterproofed.
Solution
As this is a returning customer she already has WaterGuard and a Sump Pump in the finished half of her basement. We knew it was time to waterproof the entire basement. So, we installed WaterGuard Sub Floor Drainage, WaterGuard Ports, and TrenchDrain to help get the water coming into the space to go to the sump pump and out of the basement. Currently any water was just leaking through the basement and collecting in the unfinished side of the basement. Now, the water will no longer just pool and cause trouble.
The WaterGuard system is beneath the floor and collects the water and directs it to the Sump, while the TrenchDrain is on the surface and collects any standing water. We are collecting all of the unwanted water and getting rid of it properly.
It's a great thing that all of our products connect and work well together, this enables us to just add more product when necessary without having to worry about how things will work together.
