Jay just seemed to have a better understanding of the types of foundations and the things they would be dealing with. One of the other companies suggested drilling a hole through the original foundation to a drain on the other side that led to the sump. Jay explained why that would be a bad idea and explained what they would do. He was more concerned with maintaining the integrity of the foundation than a quick solution.
The proof will be after the first heavy rain. However, so far, we are happy with what we see. I think the biggest will be the covered sump instead of the open hole and the fix to the cold seam.
I believe his name was Jay. We had him out earlier this year and he had done up a quote and unfortuantely, we had some family issues with my wife's father passing. The project got put on hold. When I called Jay back, he was more than happy to come out and go over things once again and we got things started.
Work was done and clean up was great. Of course, we need a good rain to test be sure, but they did test the sumps before leaving. They took the time to explain everything.
Did a great cleanup job. Outside of the visual evidence of what they fixed, you would not have known they were there.
