Photo Album: Waterguard Installation in Roslindale, MA
The homeowner of this Roslindale, MA home was getting water and his existing pump was just barely keeping up. He knew that any more water would push their system to the edge. While setting up an appointment for an inspector to take a look, he mentioned an interest in upgrading the system to something he could rely on and we knew we could provide that system for him. Along with a new pump system, our crew installed Waterguard along the wall to capture seeping moisture and escort it to the pump liners. That process involves digging a trench to place the Waterguard in so it can sit below the surface and filling the trench with stone to filter out any dirt that could clog the system. Then the drain goes in and is covered over, beside a small section along the wall, with a fresh layer of cement. You'd hardly even know its there!
Prepping the Area
The trench is dug along the perimeter to prepare for the stone and Waterguard.
Filling it Up
The trench is filled with stone and then the piping is placed on top.
Finishing Touches
To keep the Waterguard in place and for a finished look, concrete is smoothed over majority of the system, leaving a small strip open along the edge to collect seepage from the wall.
