Photo Album: Water intrudes Crawl Space in Saunderstown, RI
This home in Saunderstown, RI had an addition built onto their home and the crawlspace underneath had falling insulation and kept getting water seeping in. The homeowner knew he needed some new insulation and a sump pump to take care of that water so he called us up and scheduled an inspection. Once our inspector got out there, he wrote up a proposal and after a few tweaks to meet the owners wants, we set up his installation. There our crew cleaned out the debris and did the crawlspace encapsulation, using TerraBlock to insulate the floor and covering that with the CleanSpace barrier system. To insulate along the walls, SilverGlo was used and then sealed in with Rim Joist spray insulation. A SuperSump went in to collect and extract the water that may get on top of the CleanSpace and a SaniDry dehumidifier was added to the basement of the original home and ducted so it can work in the crawl as well. Just what this homeowner wanted and he’s ready to see it stand up to the wet weather!
CleanSpace Barrier Up
The CleanSpace adds a barrier as well as a clean look to the once dingy crawlspace.
Insulation In
The shiny SilverGlo is installed on the wall and will help keep the temperature inside of the crawl regulated. Here you can also see the SuperSump pump system in the ground and ready for any water that makes its way in.
Ducted SaniDry
The dehumidifier is ducted to the crawlspace to that it can work on both rooms and keep the moisture levels down.
