Like this home in West Yarmouth, MA, some basements really benefit from what we call an artery line which is a drainage line we put under the floor that will connect to the other lines and pump. That way the artery can pick up any water that may build up in spots that aren’t on the perimeter, perfect for basements with floor cracks or uneven flooring.
Adding the Drainage System
For our arteries we use a variation of the Waterguard that will connect to the pump liner and other waterguard lines.
Filling in the Space
Crushed Stone is added around the Waterguard and CleanSpace is added on top to prevent wicking.
After Some Fresh Concrete
To finish it off we add fresh concrete to cover up the artery so you wouldn't even know it's there.
