Before
The basement was partially finished but that wood was growing mold due to the water that was seeping in where the wall meets the floor
Step 1
DryZone removed the wood panels and the wet fiberglass insulation
Step 2
We jackhammered the trench for the WaterGuard right under the wall studs
Step 3
The trench is cleared of large stones and rubble to install the WaterGuard
Step 4
The WaterGuard is put down in the trenches, covered with crushed stone and a strip of a vapor barrier before it is concreted.
Step 5
Since we removed the fiberglass insulation, we replaced it with an insulation that is more suitable for the basement. This is a foam insulation board called SilverGlo. It is made of inorganic material so even if it did get wet, it will not grow mold, unlike traditional insulation
Step 6
The sump pump is in a storage area, away from the finished space

The finishing touches have been made. The customer will replace the carpet once the concrete dries!
