Damp Floors
The floors were constantly damp and had to be shop vacced almost daily, the owners thought it was easier to just lay down newspapers to absorb the water and moisture
Perimeter
The TrenchDrain or WaterGuard goes around the perimeter to catch the water at the seams and direct it towards to sump
Protection
The TrenchDrain is protecting the basement in the case of a malfunction from their dehumidifier. It would also protect the dehumidifier if there was ever a leak anywhere else in the basement.
