Bouncing Living Room Floor Issue in Ashley Falls, MA

This homeowner in Ashley Falls, MA always enjoyed playing with her dog indoors. Though, she started to get sketched out by her living room floor every time her dog would run on it. The floor would slightly bounce, making a small creaking noise that was alarming. The first thing on her mind was the danger of a collapsed floor, and she didn't want to deal with the potential damages plus injuries that could come from this weakened structural support. Solution
On the day of the inspector's arrival, he was able to enter her crawl space that was below the sketchy living room floor and see the issue himself. This step is crucial in catering the best possible solution for this homeowner so that we could provide permanent stability to this floor for years to come. The inspector found mold and rotting on the support beam that was under the living room floor, and from this, he knew this was the root cause of the bouncing issue. The floor in this crawl space was dirt, so the moisture from the cold dirt easily made its way into this crawl space, eventually leading the mold growth on the wooden support structure. The inspector suggested to the homeowner that we can provide our own steal supplemental beam to be held up by SmartJacks to provide a long lasting solution. The homeowner agreed to the job knowing that this was the answer to all her worries!
Our production team eventually came to begin the transformation process. They installed the sturdy supplemental beam alongside the rotten one that was causing the issue, and placed SmartJacks under the new beam to raise the floor back to its original level and stabilize it permanently!
