Faulty Sump Pump Upgraded in Fairhaven, MA
Challenge
A faulty sump pump caused this basement in Fairhaven, MA to flood! The system was only installed last year, but it had easily been clogged up and overran within the last year. The sump pit had no cover or lid, which allowed room for debris and dirt to fall in, clogging the system. Also, the float switch was stuck in the "on" position, so the pump was continuously running. The sump pump is the last line of defense in your basement against water intrusion. And if it's not 100%, then homeowners risk a flood occurring, or even structural damages.
When our inspector visited the home to deliver a solution, he suggested to completely swap out his sump pump and replace it with one of our own!
