New WaterProofing System Installed in Otis, MA
Challenge
A customer from Otis, MA had an existing waterproofing system in his basement that he wasn't so confident over anymore. When he got the sump pump and drainage system installed, it worked fine for the first couple of months. Then during the summer, there were a couple of times where the sump pump wouldn't even turn on! Whenever a sump pump fails to turn on when it has to, a flood may occur and that's exactly what happened to this basement a few times. Not happy with the system, he called our appointment center to see what's wrong with his drainage pipes and also wanted a free quote on our products as well. Once our sales inspector arrived he began to plan out the best solution. After a close look from the inspector and service technician, they discovered that the drainage system was clogged up from dirt and debris! The perimeter drainage system did not have many inspection ports to flush everything out, so it would be difficult to clean it out entirely.
Solution
After a full look at the issue, the inspector wrote a proposal to completely swap out the clogged pipes with our WaterGuard interior drainage system. The WaterGuard is better because there are multiple access ports to clean the system out for the service technician. In addition, they replaced the old sump with our TripleSafe sump pump for a more efficient pumping system. Their old pump was very weak and didn't come with a battery backup pump for power outages. This homeowner is very relieved to have upgraded his waterproofing products because he was getting worried about his basement!
