Wet and Moist Basement In Montague, MA
Challenge
There was a homeowner in Montague, MA that didn't have any waterproofing system in his basement. He didn't think of getting a system until he noticed the humidity and dampness was getting overwhelming. It was to a point where this strange odor was making its way into his living room floor. Concerned about the health of his home, he contacted our appointment center to receive a free quote on our systems. Once a date was set, one of our inspectors began to prepare his visit.
Solution
Once the inspector got to the house, he began seeing if there was water anywhere. He saw that one corner of the basement was accumulating some water, causing puddles to form. After careful consideration, the inspector had our production crew install a SuperSump sump pump system so the water could be discharged away from the basement. The crew jackhammered a sump pit for the system, then connected it to a discharge line that went out the basement and far into the backyard, so the water won't come back to create more issues. Additionally, they added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier due to the humidity in the basement, this was a smart purchase from the homeowner because this will bring the relative humidity down!
