Leaking Foundation Issue In Framingham, MA
Challenge
There was a homeowner in Framingham, MA that called us about her finished basement. She had recently moved into the place, and after her first month there she started to notice an issue. Due to the yard sloping down into the basement, it is almost unavoidable that the basement receives lots of water during a rainstorm. Due to the water naturally forcing itself towards the basement, cracks became exposed, leading to water seeping in. The standing water remaining in her basement was causing the atmosphere to be damp. If she didn't do anything about the puddles forming, she runs the risk of mold growing onto the building material. To ensure that won't happen, she took immediate action and had an inspector take a look at the problem.
Solution
When the inspector came to look at the issue, he noticed that the water was flowing to the lowest point in the basement, which was convenient for him when it came to planning a solution. Since this homeowner didn't have any kind of sump pump to discharge the water, our crew installed a TripleSafe sump pump system. It was installed at the lowest point where all the water was at, solving the standing water issue. This system keeps any basement dry with triple the protection. A primary pump to handle heavy rainfalls, a secondary pump and a battery backup system if the power goes out!
